FAT32 format for Windows users
Formatting FAT32 on Windows is easy.
Insert the Micro SD card into your PC. Open "This PC" or "My Computer." Locate the new drive you just inserted; that's the Micro SD card.
Right-click the SD card and select Format. Select "FAT32" as the File System and press Start. The formatting process will take a few seconds.
Note : Cards larger than 32GB cannot be formatted on a Windows PC.

FAT32 format for MAC users
FAT32 formatting for MAC requires some additional steps.
Downloading the update file from the Ellipal website may be a little different for Mac users. Some Macs are configured to automatically open zip files once the download is complete. This prompts users to copy the contents of the zip files to their SD card to perform the update. This doesn't work because Ellipal only accepts the zip version, not the contents.
To avoid errors, please follow these steps before downloading the update file.
- Go to Safari, select preferences.

2. Under General, make sure this box is unchecked. We don't want Safari to automatically open secure files after downloading.

This allows you to download and save the Ellipal update files in .ZIP or .RAR format. Drag the downloaded .zip file to your SD card as is and continue the update.
How to Format SD Card with FAT32 on Mac
To ensure a smooth update, we recommend formatting your SD card to FAT32 before loading the update file. If your SD card has already been formatted to FAT32, you don't need to do this again.
To perform a FAT32 format on a Mac, follow these simple steps:
1. Once the SD card is detected on your Mac, go to Applications > Utilities > double-click and open Disk Utility.

2. Select your SD card from the sidebar and choose Erase.
3. Rename the SD card, select MS-DOS (FAT) as the Format, and Master Boot Record as the Scheme. Then click Erase.
