PNY NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell 48GB: plenty of computing power and memory for AI and professional work

The NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell in the PNY version is a professional graphics card for workstations. It has 48 GB of GDDR7 memory with error correction (ECC) and runs on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture. This lets you run larger AI models locally, render heavy 3D scenes and edit demanding video projects.

Blackwell architecture

The GPU is made by TSMC on the 4N process developed specifically for NVIDIA. The 750 mm² chip contains 92.2 billion transistors. For computing, AI and ray tracing, you have:

  • 14,080 CUDA cores for parallel computing
  • 440 fifth-generation Tensor Cores for AI training and inference
  • 110 fourth-generation RT Cores for real-time ray tracing
  • 3x NVENC, 3x NVDEC and 1x JPEG engine for encoding and decoding video

48 GB GDDR7 with ECC

The memory uses a 384-bit interface and reaches a bandwidth of 1344 GB/s. Thanks to ECC, memory errors are corrected automatically. This is important when you run long training runs or calculations where the results need to be reliable. With Multi-Instance GPU (MIG), you can split the card into two 24 GB instances. This allows multiple users or tasks to work in isolation at the same time.

Connectivity and installation

The card connects via PCI Express 5.0 x16 and has four DisplayPort 2.1b outputs. It is full-height, full-length and occupies two slots (approximately 4.4 x 10.5 inches). Power is supplied via one 16-pin PCIe CEM5 connector and the maximum power consumption is 300 W. A blower cooler exhausts warm air directly out of the case. This makes the card suitable for workstations with multiple GPUs side by side. PNY recommends at least 48 GB of system RAM, ideally 96 GB.

For professional workflows

The card supports Frame Lock (with NVIDIA RTX PRO Sync) and NVIDIA 3D Vision and 3D Vision Pro via a 3-pin mini-DIN connector. This makes it suitable for visualisation, video wall and simulation setups.
